Once you make this version of chicken fried chicken you won’t make it any other way!


Chicken fried chicken


Prep time: 3 hours

Cook time: 45 minutes

Servings: 8


Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts

  • Tony Chachere’s original seasoning

  • 2 cups Buttermilk

  • Flour

  • Lays potato chips

  • Frying oil


Instructions:

  1. Trim fat off of chicken breasts and butterfly.

  2. Soak in butter milk and about 4 tbs Tony Chachere’s original seasoning. Soak for atleast two hours.

  3. Combine 2 cups flour and about 2-3 tbs of Tony Chachere’s original seasoning in a mixing bowl.

  4. Crush up a bag of potato chips and pour into a mixing bowl.

  5. Transfer one chicken breast to flour bowl and coat with flour mixture. Return to buttermilk and then coat with crushed up potato chips. Repeat for other chicken breasts.

  6. Fry at 350 degrees F for 6-8 minutes or until chicken is atleast 165 degrees F internal. Remove and drain grease.

  7. Serve with white creamy gravy and enjoy!
