Classic Reuben Sandwich

You can't go wrong with a Reuben! Try this simple recipe.



Prep time: 10 mins

Cook time: 20 mins

Servings: 4


Ingredients

  • 1.5-2 lbs thinly sliced corned beef (this can be purchased behind the counter in the deli section)

  • Rye bread

  • Half pound of sliced Swiss cheese

  • 14.5 oz can of sauerkraut

  • 12 oz package of bacon

  • Thousand Island dressing

Directions


  1. Preheat flat top to medium heat. Cook bacon until done to liking. Remove from flat top and drain grease.

  2. Place corned beef on flat top. Separate into portions for sandwiches. Cook for a couple minutes and then flip.

  3. Top corned beef with bacon, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. Move to a low heat section of flat top.

  4. Place slices of bread down on the flat top for bottom portion of sandwich. Drizzle with thousand island dressing. Place corned beef on top of bread. Drizzle with more thousand island dressing. Place other slice of bread on top.

  5. After a few minutes flip sandwich. Cook for another few minutes until cheese is melted and bread is toasted. Remove from flat top and enjoy!
